Homepage design for Reel TV featuring Veronica Lake, as well as collatoral apparel
"Evening with Veronica Lake," on Reel TV, serves up classic noir films, with an dark, and seductively glamorous aesthetic suited to match the actress (and her fans). An easy to navigate menu and interactive display help guide the viewer to their movie of choice.
For the background, I blended two iconic photos—intertwined at the hair—along with some beauty retouching, filters and hand-drawn line-work. The backdrop then paired with a hand-designed typeface inspired by Lake's signature look--her long cascading hair. Only a few colors were chosen to broadcast the storytelling of the piece (since most of the films are B&W features).
